Ecclestone rubbishes Hornet-Alpine rumors with Hamilton jab

03/08/2025 at 13:52 In a sport where rumors swirl faster than a Formula 1 car through Monaco’s hairpin, former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has taken a torch to swirling rumors linking him and former Red Bull boss Christian Horner with a possible buy-in at Alpine. Not only did the 94-year-old dismiss the idea as outright nonsense, Ecclestone offered a barbed comparison to Lewis Hamilton’s fading championship hopes. The outlandish rumor, which briefly ignited paddock chatter, emerged in the wake of Horner’s shock exit from Red Bull Racing.
