Hamilton makes first comments after 'crazy few days'

© XPB  Andrew Lewin 03/02/2024 at 14:3003/02/2024 at 14:29 Lewis Hamilton has made his first public comments about his decision to leave Mercedes at the end of 2024 after 11 years with the team, in order to head to Maranello and join Ferrari in 2025. Although Mercedes' press release on Thursday contained brief quotes from him, Hamilton waited until Saturday to use his Instagram social media page to give a more personal take on the bombshell development direct to his fans. He used the opportunity to explain that driving for Ferrari had been a long-held dream, and that when the opportunity had presented itself he simply hadn't been able to turn it down.
