Alpha Tauri not a Red Bull clone – Horner

Dec.4 Christian Horner has dismissed theories that Alpha Tauri is the new 'pink Mercedes' of Formula 1. Before Aston Martin assumed its current name, the Lawrence Stroll-owned team was coloured pink and called Racing Point – and accused of having far too close a technical relationship with the dominant Mercedes team of the time. And so, as Red Bull-owned Alpha Tauri emerged from its performance slump mid-season in 2023, many wondered if the new ‘synergies' with parent team Red Bull Racing were coming together in the form of cloned new car parts.
