Verstappen wins Austria sprint after feisty Perez fight
Max Verstappen claimed victory in a hectic F1 Austrian Grand Prix sprint race held in changeable conditions following a heated early battle with Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez. Perez made a better start to initially jump Verstappen on the short run to Turn 1, but having nearly been squeezed onto the grass by Perez, the reigning world champion fought back into Turn 3, forcefully re-taking the lead.
