The reigning World Champion lead teammate Sergio Perez by half-a-second at the Red Bull Ring, with McLaren's Lando Norris an impressive third place. An equally-impressive Nico Hulkenberg placed his Haas car in fourth, ahead of Carlos Sainz, who survived an early exit from the first part of qualifying after a technical issue, and teammate Charles Leclerc.
