Revealed: Bernie Ecclestone's net worth is over 10x Lewis Hamilton's
Former Formula 1 supremo Bernie Eccleston has been named as one of the 100th wealthiest people in the UK in the Sunday Times Rich List. The 92-year-old businessman has a reported fortune of £2.498 billion following his time in charge of Formula 1, leaving him in 73rd on the newspaper’s list. Having stated as driver Stuart Lewis Evans’ manager, Ecclestone became a team owner, head of the Formula One Constructor Association (FOCA) and then Formula One Management (FOM). That last role brought him 50% of Formula 1’s revenue, something that saw him embark on a mission to make the sport increasingly profitable, before he sold his ownership stake to Liberty Media in 2016 for...
