Severe flood and landslide warnings in place at Imola

Article To news overview © XPBimages The Emilia Romagna region is at a high risk of being affected by extreme weather in the coming days, which could cause disruption the Formula 1 race. Just two weeks after the region was hit by floods, more storms are likely in the build-up to the Grand Prix weekend in Imola. Heavy rainfall had recently caused several rivers in the region to flood, triggering mass evacuations and resulting in the deaths of two people. According to Italian media, an 80-year-old man lost his life after being swept away by the flood water whilst cycling, and a 78-year-old man was found in the rubble of his collapsed home.
