Pirelli to strengthen tyre construction from British GP

Pirelli feels a new construction of tyres is required going forward this season F1 tyre supplier Pirelli is set to introduce a new construction from the British Grand Prix onwards in response to the remarkable increase in downforce on the cars and lap times this season, Speedcafe can confirm. The move is a pre-emptive one from the Italian manufacturer rather than being applied on safety grounds to ensure it avoids any potential future issues.
