Gasly denies Alpine talks, Ocon would not block arrival of compatriot

Pierre Gasly has again been linked with a switch to Alpine. The French formation is still looking for a teammate for Esteban Ocon in 2023. Fernando Alonso surprisingly decided to quit and Alpine has to look for a replacement. Gasly has since responded to the rumours himself. Alpine is of course from France and bringing in a competitive French driver is good for the brand.
