Alonso and Alpine to enter contract talks during summer break

Fernando Alonso says his current focus is on Alpine's upcoming three races after which the Spaniard will take the time to sit down and discuss his F1 future with the Enstone squad. Alonso will turn 41 at the end of July, but the F1 veteran is keen to extend his partnership with Alpine after his contract with the team expires at the end of this year. "So far, we didn't really start any negotiations," Alonso said at Silverstone where he provided an update on his contract talks. "My aim, as I've said, is to continue.
