F1 2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix – Qualifying results

Article To news overview © XPB Red Bull driver Max Verstappen topped qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as drivers tackled tricky, wet conditions at the Imola circuit. Verstappen's best time of 1:27.999 put him eight-tenths clear of Ferrari rival Leclerc, with McLaren's Lando Norris completing the top three. Carlos Sainz crashed out of proceedings in his Ferrari and had to settle for 10th, while Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were both eliminated in Q2. Under revised rules for 2022, Verstappen will go down as the pole-sitter this weekend, regardless of what happens in the Sprint race.
