Barcelona F1 Test Day 2: Leclerc has Ferrari smiling
It's good news for Tifosi! Charles Leclerc put Ferrari top of the timesheets on the second day of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Barcelona on Thursday. The Monegasque set a time of 1:19.689s in the post-lunch session having taken over from teammate Carlos Sainz who was in the Maranello-based team's car in the morning. Leclerc said in the Ferrari team report: 'A pretty good afternoon here in Barcelona! We completed a lot of laps again, which is what counts the most at testing. Our aim is to drive as many kilometres as we can, to complete as many different tests as possible and that’s exactly what we did.'
