Leclerc relieved as chassis change brings back 'much better' feeling

Article To news overview © RN365/MichaelPotts Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was relieved to be on the pace again in Sunday's Qatar Grand Prix, after admitting to being confused about where he was losing time in qualifying. While teammate Carlos Sainz made it into Q3, having run the Medium compound in Q2, Leclerc was almost a full second slower than his teammate on the same compound. Despite running the Soft tyre for the final runs, Leclerc was eliminated down in 13th. Following qualifying, Ferrari discovered that Leclerc's chassis had picked up a crack, possibly from a kerb during the first Q1 run. As a result, they changed the chassis and managed to get the work done in time on Sunday...
