Todt defends Hamilton's seatbelt fine
Nov.20 Jean Todt has defended the decision to slap Lewis Hamilton with a hefty fine after the seven time world champion undid his seatbelts whilst driving in Brazil. The Mercedes driver unsecured his belts on the slowing-down lap after taking the chequered flag, in order to be more visible as he showed the crowd the waving Brazilian flag. But the stewards slapped him with a EUR 25,000 fine, with all but 5,000 of that suspended until the end of next year.
