Chinese GP to remain on F1 calendar until 2025
Formula 1 has announced that it has extended its contract with the Chinese Grand Prix until 2025 despite a three-year hiatus for the Shanghai event. The race was cancelled in 2020 and in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and hasn't been included on Formula 1's provisional 2022 schedule. But Formula 1 which first raced in China in 2004 will return to China in 2023. "This is great news for all of our fans in China and we are delighted to announce this agreement that will see us racing in Shanghai until 2025," F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali said in a statement.
