McLaren to assess O'Ward's F1 prospects after Abu Dhabi test
Zak Brown says McLaren will assess the potential of Pato O'Ward joining Formula 1 after his Abu Dhabi test in December. The Mexican impressed driving for the British outfit in IndyCar this season, only narrowly being beaten to the title by Alex Palou. His performances have earned him a chance to drive the team's Formula 1 car, with him and Brown making a bet before the start of the year that he could so if he won a race. He has often been linked with a more permanent switch to the sport, and that's something brown is open to, but he first wants to see how the 22-year-old does in his test in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year.
