Alpine part ways with their engine technical director

Article To news overview © Alpine Alpine have confirmed that their engine technical director, Remi Taffin, has left the company. According to Reuters, the team confirmed that he had departed the company in July. Taffin had spent more than two decades with Renault, having initially joined the company in 1999 as a race engineer for BAR's Ricardo Zonta, with that team powered by Renault offshoot engine supplier Supertec. He would also serve as race engineer for Arrow's Jos Verstappen before switching to Benetton and into the transition to Renault for 2004. Taffin became race engineer for Fernando Alonso's title years in 2005 and 2006, continuing in that role with Heikki Kovalainen in 2007,...
