Ocon keeps his win after Hungarian GP investigation

Article To news overview © Mercedes Esteban Ocon has been given a reprimand for failing to park his car in the right place following his maiden Formula 1 victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Ocon missed the entry of the pit lane so decided to stop his Alpine machine near the end of the pit lane to then run down towards the podium to celebrate his brilliant win. "Race Director’s Note for the post-race procedure (Doc.. 38) requires drivers who finish the race in the top three positions to return to pit lane and stop at the boards showing their positions located in front of the race control tower," said the stewards in a statement.
