Button: Bottas would be in ‘better place' at Williams

Jenson Button believes that a return to Williams for Valtteri Bottas could be exactly what he needs to re-ignite his career. Bottas first joined the Formula 1 grid back in 2013 with Williams, scoring nine podium finishes with the team before being signed up by Mercedes for the 2017 campaign. For large periods since that move Bottas has enjoyed dominant machinery over the rest of the grid, finishing as runner-up to team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the Drivers' Championship in 2019 and 2020. The 2021 campaign though has been much more a struggle, and the calls are growing louder for Mercedes to promote George Russell at Bottas' expense.
