Alonso predicts sprint qualifying format ‘tweaks'
Jul.9 Fernando Alonso thinks Formula 1 will introduce 'tweaks' to the new sprint qualifying format after it debuts next weekend at Silverstone. Seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton has already warned that the short 17-lap race to determine the order of the British GP grid will probably be processional. 'I always like to try new things and it is a format that can bring surprises,' Alonso, 39, said. 'I'm sure there will be tweaks for the other two events, because even Formula 1 is saying this is a test. 'We will have Q1, Q2 and Q3 on Friday and it will be very difficult to change the order of qualifying after that. The fastest will start first on Saturday, it will be more or less like...
