FIA announces decision on new Pirelli rear tyre construction

It was just a formality, but the FIA officially announced on Thursday that it agrees with Pirelli's new rear tyres. These will be introduced by the Italian tyre supplier during the race weekend at Silverstone. That is what the FIA announced in a publication of decisions of the World Motor Sport Council. "The World Council has approved the introduction of a new rear tyre construction for the remainder of the 2021 season, " the message reads. Some updates to the regulations regarding sprint races have also been approved.
