Russian GP set to switch to Igora Drive in 2023

Article To news overview © Igora Drive Formula 1's Russian Grand Prix will move from the Sochi Autodrom to Igora Drive in 2023, RacingNews365 has learned. The venue, located 50 kilometres from St. Petersburg, was built in 2017/2018 and holds FIA Grade 1 status. Designed by Hermann Tilke, the circuit boasts a full floodlighting system that make it possible to hold a night race. Igora Drive was scheduled to hold the first round of the 2020 DTM Championship last year, but was cancelled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The switch of venue away from the Sochi Autodrom is yet to be officially confirmed by Formula 1.
