FP3: Verstappen heads Bottas ahead of qualifying
French Grand Prix – Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has set the fastest time in practice ahead of qualifying for the French Grand Prix. The Dutch driver set a time of 1:31.300 and was 0.7s ahead of Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz finished in third place, a further tenth behind. Once they got going, the teams focused on qualifying runs with the soft tyre becoming the popular choice amongst the teams.
