Norris signs new multi-year deal with McLaren

McLaren have announced that Lando Norris has signed a 'multi-year' contract extension with the team, confirming their line-up for 2022 in the process. The young Brit has had a fast start to the season in the MCL35M, scoring a podium at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and sitting P4 in the Drivers' Championship after four races. He also recently stated that he believes he would be able to get close to matching Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, if he was in the same machinery. Norris' new contract means that he and Daniel Ricciardo are now confirmed to be McLaren's drivers for at least the 2022 season, with the team making strides towards the front of the field again.
