Bahrain Grand Prix to go green from 2022

Formula 1 and the Bahrain International Circuit have announced that the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix is set to go green from 2022 thanks to sustainable energy plan. The sport has confirmed that Bahrain is on the cusp of achieving a very significant sustainabilty goal as all energy used by the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in 2022 will come from sustainable energy sources, meeting the BIC’s needs throughout the race weekend, and beyond. The decision was taken after Kingdom of Bahrain’s Sustainable Energy Authority has completed a feasibility study for the initiative with which it analysed the circuit’s entire annual energy needs.
