Conclusions from pre-season testing
Formula 1's pre-season is done and dusted already – and now everyone is counting down the days to the first of 23 races in the 2021 campaign. But what did we learn from testing in Bahrain? Did the three days of running shed any real light on what will unfold over the coming months or was the desert landscape complemented by a tonne of sandbagging? Obviously it’s difficult to be too dogmatic about drawing conclusions, given this was very much the phony war and lap times should not be considered totally representative.
