Kubica to drive in Daytona 24 Hours

It has been announced that Robert Kubica will drive in the upcoming Daytona 24 Hours in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Alongside being a reserve driver for Alfa Romeo, Kubica spent 2020 driving for BMW in DTM, picking up one podium and scoring 20 points. With the manufacturer withdrawing from the series though, the Pole was left without a seat for 2021. It has now been confirmed that, for the race in Daytona at least, he will join the IMSA SportsCar Championship for the High Class LMP2 squad 'This is a new challenge and experience for me, as I have been focusing mainly on sprint races in the past,' Kubica said as per Autosport.
