Russell to wear Williams tribute helmet for Abu Dhabi GP
George Russell will sport a special helmet for this weekend’s season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a tribute to Frank and Claire Williams, who stepped away from the team earlier this year. With Lewis Hamilton making a return after a series of negative Covid-19 tests, Russell is back at the Grove-based team after his maiden outing with Mercedes last weekend. Williams has endured a difficult number of seasons, and came under new management in August with new owners Dorilton Capital taking over at the helm of the organisation. As a result, Frank Williams, who founded the team in the late 1970s, and his daughter Claire, who has overseen the day-to-day operation in recent years, relinquished...
