Ferrari chassis chief Resta to switch to Haas

Ferrari has announced that chief designer Simone Resta will join customer team Haas next month. Resta has had a lengthy career with Ferrari, holding several positions, and re-joined the manufacturer mid-2019 after a brief stint where he was seconded to Alfa Romeo. Haas has had close ties with Ferrari throughout its five years in Formula 1 and on Friday the marque announced that Resta will join the team at the start of 2021. Resta’s current role will be taken by Enrico Cardile while elsewhere Ferrari’s technical structure remains unchanged, with Enrico Gualtieri fronting the power unit department and Sporting Director Laurent Mekies in charge of track activities. “The structure of...
