Grosjean thought of children, Lauda in fiery Bahrain escape

Romain Grosjean is helped by medical crews Romain Grosjean said he was motivated to survive his Bahrain Grand Prix accident for his children, as he revealed he also thought of Niki Lauda's 1976 fiery escape. Grosjean suffered a 220km/h crash on the opening lap of last weekend’s race following contact with AlphaTauri’s Daniil Kvyat, with the impact recorded at 50g. So severe was the damage to the barrier, that it was replaced by concrete blocks because of concerns to the disruption to the surrounding terrain.
