Grosjean: Halo the greatest thing in Formula 1

Romain Grosjean has declared the halo the 'greatest thing we brought to Formula 1' after it saved his life following a horrific opening lap crash in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Grosjean, who is chairman of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA), was originally against the introduction of the head protection device, claiming it 'has no place in F1'. However following his crash, which saw him impact the Turn 3 exit barrier at 221km/h (137mph), causing his Haas car to split in half, burst into flames and penetrate the steel armco barrier, the Frenchman's attitude has changed.
