Russell to sit out FP1 for Nissany in Bahrain
George Russell will step aside for Roy Nissany during opening practice at this weekend’s Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix. Israeli Formula 2 racer Nissany joined Williams as its test driver for 2020 and drove the FW43 during practice in Spain and Italy. On both occasions Russell sat out the session while Nissany drove and the situation will be replicated for Nissany’s third outing on Friday afternoon. Nissany will then return to Formula 2 duties with Trident for the remainder of the weekend. Nissany will also drive Williams’ FW43 during post-season testing in Abu Dhabi next month, alongside reserve Jack Aitken, who had a run-out in Austria earlier this year. “Bahrain is a very special...
