Marko shuts the door on a Gasly promotion

Red Bull has shut the door on Pierre Gasly with Helmut Marko saying he 'will drive' for AlphaTauri next season. Gasly has been one of the star drivers in this year's championship, scoring points in eight out of 12 grands prix. One of those top ten results was a victory at the Italian Grand Prix, only the team's second Formula 1 race win. Sitting on 63 points, he is just one behind Alexander Albon, the driver who replaced him at Red Bull midway through last year's championship. Pundits are shouting for Red Bull to put Gasly back in the senior team, however, the Red Bull are digging their heels in.
