Hulme bookends '69 season with Mexican win
©McLaren On this day in 1969 in Mexico City, Denny Hulme delivered to McLaren its fourth Grand Prix win, bookending the F1 season. Stewart led the opening laps in Mexico before Brabham's Jacky Ickx picked up the baton, only for Hulme to overhaul both drivers on lap 10 and race off to a commanding win onboard McLaren's lovely Cosworth-powered M7A.
