Carlos Sainz takes blame for race-ending Russian GP F1 accident

Carlos Sainz has accepted full blame for his "misjudgement" on the opening Formula 1 lap of the Russian Grand Prix which led to the Spaniard’s retirement. Check out the Crash F1 YouTube channel - CLICK HERE The McLaren driver was forced to take to the run-off area on the opening lap in Sochi. In accordance with the stewards’ ruling, drivers who take to the run-off at Turn 2 must go through the bollards - which Sainz did at great speed, clipping the wall on the exit and ending his race on Lap 1.
