Perez only given a day's notice by Racing Point

Sergio Perez has revealed that Racing Point told him he wouldn't be staying for 2021 the day before the announcement was made. The team, soon to be known as Aston Martin, announced on Wednesday night that Sebastian Vettel would drive for them in 2021. Shortly beforehand, Perez had confirmed that he was to leave. The rumours of such a move had been gathering ever since Ferrari opted not to retain Vettel for next year. However, whenever asked about them, Perez remained adamant there was no truth to them.
