Renault lodges another protest against Racing Point
Renault has again issued a protest concerning the legality of Racing Point’s RP20, following the conclusion of Formula 1’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Renault protested the RP20 following the Styrian Grand Prix and the stewards deemed the protest admissible. Renault has its suspicions that Racing Point has contravened the regulations regarding the design of its RP20. Racing Point, while never denying it copied Mercedes’ W10 as much as possible, has dismissed the allegations and insists it owns all of the intellectual property and designs of its RP20.
