Hamilton wants to race in Africa. "That's something I insist on"
According to reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 has to return to Africa for a Grand Prix. He calls it 'the most important place' for the championship. The last time there was a race in Africa was in South Africa in 1993. Return South Africa and Morocco are often linked to a return on the F1 calendar. Formula E comes to Morocco almost every year for the E-Prix and the Kyalami in South Africa has had several upgrades in recent years. Liberty Media also wants to expand the calendar. In a video from Petronas where fans could ask questions to Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. When asked where F1 had to go for a new race, Hamilton was quick to answer: "Easy, Africa....
