MotoGP confirms the cancellation of the Japan Grand Prix

The 2020 MotoGP Motul Grand Prix of Japan has been called off due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, the FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have announced in a joint statement. Since the season-opening race at Doha was called off, the 2020 MotoGP season has been put on hold. The coronavirus crisis has resulted in the cancellation of the first eight races with the Grand Prix of Japan set to become the latest victim of the uncertain situation around the COVID-19 health crisis.
