‘Race for the World' series raises $71,000

The Race for the World Esports series has raised $71,000 for the World Health Organisation's fight against coronavirus, with Charles Leclerc topping the standings. The fundraising effort was launched by Leclerc and a group of fellow F1 drivers, with the Ferrari man winning the three-part Esports series. Virtual racing has shot up in popularity due to the absence of real-life racing during the pandemic. Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon, Lando Norris, Antonio Giovinazzi, George Russell and Nicholas Latifi from Formula 1 organised the Race for the World events.
