Binotto: Genuine and straightforward Vettel is why Ferrari loves him
While all normal decisions in Formula 1 remain on hold during the coronavirus crisis including the driver market, Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto has explained the team “love and appreciate” Sebastian Vettel as one of its drivers. After Ferrari tied down Charles Leclerc with a long-term F1 deal to keep him at the Scuderia until at least the end of 2024, all focus on its driver line-up switched to four-time world champion Vettel. Having been linked with a move for Lewis Hamilton over the winter, Ferrari boss Binotto has reaffirmed the German as its number one choice to race alongside Leclerc from 2021 onwards.
