FIA set up “crisis cell” amid coronavirus issues

The FIA has set up a crisis cell to “closely monitor” the developing coronavirus outbreak with threats to motor racing events to ensure action is taken to protect the global motor sport community. The coronavirus outbreak has already impacted a number of motor racing events and the governing body has already been monitoring the situation but has now stepped up its efforts. A committee will gather every other day to discuss matters in response to feedback from Professor Gerard Saillant, the president of FIA’s medical commission. The statement read: “An FIA Crisis Cell has been established and convenes every second day to consider the latest developments...
