Binotto: We're Aiming for a Lot More Downforce
Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has revealed a change in design philosophy for the team's 2020 challenger, with a greater emphasis on cornering at the expense of some straight-line speed. As reported by f1technical.net, the Scuderia has opted for a fundamental 'reshaping' of the car that raced in 2019 , having suffered from inconsistent pace throughout the season. “Our car next year is aiming for a lot more downforce. And by having more downforce, [it will produce] more drag. We are not expecting to be as far [ahead] on the straight as we have been,” stated Binotto.
