Binotto: 2019 was about laying foundations for 2020

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto says 2019 has served as an excellent foundation to build upon for next season. 2019 was something of a generational shift at Ferrari, with Mattia Binotto superceding Maurizio Arrivabene as team boss and the hiring of inexperienced Charles Leclerc as Kimi Raikkonen's replacement. With Ferrari also embarking on a new design philosophy which worked on reducing drag and increasing engine power, it was a whole new tack for the Scuderia in their bid to topple Mercedes from the top.
