Vettel ‘didn't peak' when needed in qualifying

Mexican Grand Prix – Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel says he couldn't quite put his runs together properly in qualifying, resulting in his P3 finish. Sebastian Vettel qualified P3 for Sunday's race in Mexico. However, he'll be starting from P2 as a result of Max Verstappen being given a grid penalty. This was because the Red Bull driver was found guilty of not lifting off under yellow flags at the end of Q3 when Valtteri Bottas crashed his Mercedes. Having looked the more confident Ferrari driver throughout practice, Vettel's first run ended up being just under a tenth of a second off Charles Leclerc's.
