FIA rule on Hulkenberg's Turn 1 actions in Monza qualifying
Nico Hulkenberg was was cleared by the Italian Grand Prix stewards over his actions at Turn 1 of Monza in Italian GP qualifying. Only Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz crossed the start line in time to set a lap in the closing stages of Q3, with seven drivers then unable to set a time. Kimi Raikkonen had earlier crashed out of the session. Article continues under video Hulkenberg triggered much of the funny business after emerging from the pits first, only to pull off at Turn 1 and take to the escape road in an attempt to get other cars to drive past him as all sought the crucial tow around Monza.
