Arrivabene: F1 would be wrong to ditch Pirelli tyres
Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene believes Formula One chiefs would be "wrong" to "throw away" the experience of Pirelli for a brand new tyre supplier in the future. F1's owners Liberty Media are considering switching tyre suppliers to Hankook and are currently weighing up the financial offers from them and Pirelli to become the tyre supplier of the sport from 2020 to 2023. Both companies have been approved on technical grounds by the FIA; so the conclusive decision will come down to financial and commercial gains.
