Magnussen nervous about race despite P5 start

Kevin Magnussen says he is nervous ahead of the Russian Grand Prix due to the fact he will be starting on the hypersoft tyres. Although the pink-walled tyres are faster, they aren’t expected to last very long in the race. “Most people are a bit nervous about that, hopefully it will be the same for everyone,” Magnussen said after qualifying. “It is a great day for the team, both cars in the top 10 so a good chance of scoring points tomorrow. “We need to have a bit better pace tomorrow if we want to be competitive, the track is usually better in the race so the tyres are easier to make last. “Very happy with qualifying.
