F1 confirms 21-race 2019 calendar, Germany in
The FIA has confirmed the draft version of next year’s Formula 1 calendar, which will consist of a record-equalling 21 events, including the German Grand Prix. The season will again open in Australia in March and conclude in Abu Dhabi, with the final round at the Yas Marina Circuit shifted into December. It will be the first Grand Prix to be held in the final month of the year since 1963. The future of the German Grand Prix had appeared uncertain amid the end of its long-term deal this year, though Hockenheim officials remained optimistic about its continuation.
