Alonso: Media exaggerating McLaren's F1 struggles

Fernando Alonso is refusing to read too much into McLaren's poor showing in last weekend's French Grand Prix, stressing the Formula 1 team has made significant progress since last year and that its struggles are being overplayed by the media. Alonso was knocked out in Q1 at Paul Ricard and spent the entirety of his race running outside of the points before retiring due to a suspension failure with three laps to go.
